Questions

Military benefits FAQ

What military education benefits can I use at MD Technical School?
We accept the Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33), Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E, Chapter 31) and Veteran WIOA funding. Depending on your eligibility these can cover tuition, fees, books and related expenses.
How do I use the Post-9/11 GI Bill® for my training?
Apply for benefits on VA.gov, receive your Certificate of Eligibility (COE), then contact our Enrollment Team and send us your COE so we can verify your benefits and enroll you.
Can I use Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E / Chapter 31)?
Yes, if you have a service-connected disability rating of at least 10%. Apply on VA.gov, meet with your VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, get your training approved, then contact our Enrollment Team.
How do I apply for Veteran WIOA funding?
Attend an orientation at your local American Job Center, work with a Veteran Representative (DVOP or LVER), confirm MD Technical School's WIOA approval, submit your application, and send us your authorization to begin.
What expenses do these benefits cover?
It depends on the program. The Post-9/11 GI Bill® can cover tuition, fees, books and a housing allowance if eligible. VR&E covers tuition, books, supplies and career services. WIOA covers tuition and supports job placement and employment readiness.
Is there a registration fee?
Each course carries a small per-course registration fee, shown on every course page. WIOA-funded students don't pay it, and Cybersecurity I and II carry a single fee for the whole program.
I'm not sure which benefit applies to me. Can you help?
Yes. We offer free, personal consultations to help you find the right funding option — just call or message our Enrollment Team.
What if I don't qualify for military or workforce funding?
You can pay per course or spread the cost with Climb Credit education financing: apply online in about 5 minutes, add a cosigner if you'd like, and prepay anytime with no penalty.
